El Dr. Judah B. Axe, BCBA-D, obtuvo su máster y su doctorado en educación especial y análisis aplicado de conducta en Ohio State Univeristy. Actualmente es profesor asociado de análisis de conducta. El Dr. Axe ha ejercido también como profesor de educación especial en la Universidad Simmons. Realiza investigaciones con niños con autismo y otras necesidades educativas especiales en las áreas de lenguaje, habilidades sociales y conductas desafiantes. El Dr. Axe forma parte de los consejos editoriales de cinco revistas de análisis de conducta y ha ocupado cargos directivos en Association for Behavior Analysis International, Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy y Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies.


El Dr. Paul A. Alberto se licenció en el Hunter College de Nueva York. Luego ejerció como maestro de primaria con niños con discapacidad intelectual en el sur del Bronx. Paralelamente realizó un máster en educación especial en la Universidad de Fordham. Se trasladó a Atlanta y alcanzó su doctorado en ese mismo área en Georgia State University (GSU). Desde entonces ha desarrollado su carrera profesional en el departamento de psicología educativa y educación especial de GSU. Es coordinador del programa de formación del profesorado en discapacidades complejas. Es coeditor de la revista "Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities".


La Dra. Anne C. Troutman se licenció en magisterio por la Universidad de Georgia, ejerciendo posteriormente como maestra de primaria. Realizó un máster en educación especial en Georgia State University y enseñó a estudiantes con trastornos de conducta en centros educativos especiales. Ha trabajado como especialista en intervención en crisis y supervisora de educación especial. Tras doctorarse, impartió clases a estudiantes de grado y posgrado en educación general y especial en la Universidad de Memphis.


Esta pionera edición en español ha sido realizada por el equipo de los Drs. Javier Virués Ortega y José I. Navarro Guzmán bajo los auspicios de la Cátedra ABA España de Análisis Aplicado de Conducta de la Universidad de Cádiz.
