About the Book

This is a thought provoking critique of American Politics written by an Army chaplain while serving in Afghanistan through the 2012 presidential campaign. This book shares the author's own struggles with choosing the right candidate for president while personally experiencing the impact of political policies affecting his daily life and that of his soldiers. Concerned about the future of his Country and sensing a call to patriotism the author searched the pages of his Bible and American history until he found the Founder's formula for restoring our God-given inalienable Rights. The purpose of this book is to encourage and empower freedom-loving Americans in their efforts to restore our Founder's legacy of liberty for future generations. This author's passion for faith and freedom is powerfully inspiring and may yet rally a new generation of Americans to believe God comes to the aid of those who take their stand for liberty. Here's what you can expect from this book. The author identified the desired character traits that both patriots and Christians ought to look for in their civic and social leaders. He also confronted the unbiblical claims of social justice and exposed the evil of Marxism. Then he asked a truly bold question. "How" should someone bound by our Founder's oath actually defend the Constitution? He answered that question in the last chapter by revealing the Founder's formula for restoring liberty in America.
About the Author: Roy Butler is a US Army chaplain and has served his nation in uniform for twenty-three years. At the time of this writing he is ministering to his soldiers deployed to Afghanistan. He holds a master's degree in religious education from Liberty Theological Seminary, a bachelor's degree in Christian ministry from Wayland Baptist University, and an associate's degree in military intelligence operations from Cochise College. You can find Roy actively supporting his Installation Chapel ministry preaching to contemporary and evangelical congregations. He can also be found supporting and networking with a number of para-church ministries and businesses designed to serve the military. Roy has been in vocational ministry since 1999 and remains closely connected to his Southern Baptist denomination through a growing network of pastors, church leaders, and his regional leadership team. He is also an active member of his local Baptist Church. Roy is married to his amazing wife, Gail, and together they have raised two wonderful children, Dwight (20) and Zoie (17).
