About the Book

His birth name, was Jimmer Johansen. He was born on the Island of St. Vincent. While growing up on the island, Jimmer was no ordinary kid. He had wisdom beyond his years and people seemed to be attracted to him. Somehow, even as a child, he seemed destined to take an unusual path in life. The son of a prominent scientist and an American born school teacher, Jimmer excelled as a student. His charming personality, social status and skills on the soccer field, made Jimmer the most popular kid on the island. By 1982, his father's rise in the scientific community had gained the attention of governments and corporations world wide. As his research brings him closer to the cure for the AIDS virus and other diseases, the interest in his work grows. Soon he is offered diplomatic status to continue his work in the United States. When he accepts this offer, he has no idea of the danger he 's bringing upon himself and his family. Those who pose as friends of his work are actually it's enemies. When their devious plans for him come to fruition, Jimmer finds himself alone. His parents are suddenly snatched from his life. His American dreams were on the verge of becoming his worst nightmare. Both, the mean streets as well as the foster care system, were waiting to devour young Jimmer. That's when teenage kingpin Quincy Fowler took him in. When Quincy Fowler entered Jimmer's life, so did money and murder, like the gift and the curse. Jimmer spends the next six years of his life navigating a course over which bullets fly. He finds himself in a world where friends die and go to jail and people torture and betray each other. Soon jealousy, greed and revenge fuels a war that sends him into hiding. By his side the entire time, is the love of his life, his confidant and friend, a girl named Trina. Trina too was without parents and all alone in the world. Jimmer was all she had. Through it all, when all of the smoke cleared, the boy born as Jimmer Johansen was a millionaire. At age eighteen, he had made more money than any kid his age had ever made. He was a business owner and investor. He hung out with athletes and entertainers. The storms of his life had passed and he was ready to start a new chapter, one that didn't include guns and drugs. With his transition nearly complete, he finds out, the same government that had plans for his father, now had plans for him. Will the well read, self educated, teenaged millionaire be able to out think the think tank or has his fate been sealed?
