AMERICA: WALLETS, BULLETS AND ROSES GENRE: general politics and social issues 252 pages It is a collection of personal narratives on the internal and external effects of the Bush policies that took place between the period of Sept 11/2001-Sept 29/2004. It deals mainly with the themes under the umbrellas: 1 and 2. 1-How the Bush Administration bankrupted America politically, financially and morally- by going to war with Iraq. War, especially preemptive war, is not the best and most effective approach. America must become less physical and more philosophical with the world- especially the volatile region of the Middle East. 2- Institutionalized religions become void of spirit when they get involved in politics, as was the case in the Bush administration, and as seen today in the Middle East. All religious fanatics succeed well killing the God they preach to others. 3- Putting much weight on the shoulders of our politico- religious leaders; I didn't forgot to take a close look at myself as a father; friend; neighbor; an American citizen; and above all, as a citizen of a world sailing on the high seas of external and internal conflicts. Engulfed by external and internal wars, I have become convinced that peace and freedom will come to man when he accepts himself and others through the apathies of understanding and compassion. The -ever- increasing acts of violence we witness today throughout the world- especially in the Middle East- make this work timely. Targeted audience: liberals. It may also serve as a -wake- up call to a segment of conservatives in the 2016 elections- since Republicans have obsession with militarism to achieve their arrogant vision: America is the axle on which rotates the world. America needs to be modest and realistic about its today's role in the international arena. In so doing, it becomes a model to follow and not a force to fear and must fight. Fear doesn't bring peace, rather destabilization, as every nation works hard to acquire weapons of mass- destruction to protect itself from the tyranny of others. The world's peace can't be sustained by arms race; rather by mutual respect and understanding. A clever diplomacy is what America needs. Based on this view, the work transcends time and serves as a motivation for America to understand a world that's becoming too small, and yet too dangerous. Although all liberals share the same politico- social vision- often presented through tedious researches-, my work appeals mostly to the common man, whose life is encumbered by the many daily problems he must face for survival- little time and energy left for intellectualism. In my work the mind thinks and the heart writes. Exclude the heart and the mind becomes a bomb waiting to explode at any moment. Scholars get high on talking about the clash of civilizations and cultures. In my views, wars and strives are born when the oppressed rises against his oppressor(S).
