About the Book

Synopsis: Third in the series, Amelia Fraisier Arlington, a posh kid from London, struggles with her mental health, she is locked in a mental health facility miles away from her family and friends.Amelia suffers abuse from a Nurse at the secure mental health facility and acts of violence from other people sectioned in the same facility.Sky and Amelia's relationship is slowly developing although they are still at the questioning stage. They have a number of challenges ahead opening up to Parents and the Church.Tom and Jane are devastated at Mr Stokes decision to Expel Amelia from the School and they take their fight to the Parent Governors. Finally Amelia manages to get home and the stigma of mental health starts to show itself in everything that she or her parents try to do for her.Tom and Jane cannot believe how much Amelia is excluded from normal activities because of the stigma of Mental Health.About the Author: Lee struggled for most of his adulthood with a mental illness without actually being aware of it himself. Nevertheless, he managed to navigate his way through life. Born in the North West of England, in 2015 his career took him to London as a senior manager for a FTSE company working within healthcare. As part of his career, he worked in a mental health hospital in Hertfordshire but at no point did he ever realise the extent of his own mental illness until, in March 2017, he was hospitalised and became bedbound with the neurological disorder Guillain-Barre syndrome. He now explains how his life had been going at a hundred miles an hour for over 15 years and that his manic moods were part of the hustle and bustle of his daily job. However, when he was no longer able to fly at 100 miles an hour, his illness hit him. He also went on to be diagnosed with bipolar disorder.Message to ParentsAs a Christian, I have struggled writing some of the topics in this book however, to save people from destruction we need to get on to their level first. Then we can support them. Some parents may become critics of my storyline, my work is simple, it is not to influence bad behaviour, that is already happening, right before our eyes and it's to raise awareness. Whether we agree with the behaviour or not, whether we accept the topics or not, we need to be realistic, children out there are fending for themselves and making poor decisions, rich or poor, mental health is present in both.Whether, we agree with illegal behaviour or not it is happening in our communities night after night, day after day. We need to get close to our children and know what's going on in their lives, emotions, thoughts and feelings.I am so passionate about this topic and convinced that there are many young people across the country struggling and in need of help from their parents. I want to raise awareness of mental health in our communities and our work places to remove the associated stigm
