El francés Gilbert Simondon (1924-1989) es uno de los grandes filósofos del siglo XX, pero su obra recién comenzó a ser conocida hace tres décadas. Dentro de su teoría general de la individuación se destaca su potente filosofía de la técnica, plasmada en El modo de existencia de los objetos técnicos, publicado por esta editorial. Este libro analiza los principales ejes de esta filosofía: su relación con la ciencia del siglo XX, su discusión con posturas tradicionales sobre la técnica como las de Martin Heidegger, su idea de la creación y la invención técnicas, su vínculo con la estética, su crítica a la teoría de la información, su notable proyecto educativo y cultural y su noción capital de transindividualidad. Reúne para ello a varios de los más destacados estudiosos de la obra de Simondon en Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Francia e Italia. "Cultura y técnica" se refiere precisamente al artículo homónimo de Simondon, inédito hasta ahora en español, que da inicio al libro y que condensa la originalidad de su pensamiento sobre la técnica.

Javier Blanco es doctor en Informática, y docente e investigador de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, donde coordina el grupo Dédalus de investigaciones sobre la técnica.
Diego Parente es doctor en filosofía y docente de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata. Es investigador del CONICET.
Pablo Rodríguez es doctor en Ciencias Sociales, investigador del CONICET y docente de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Es autor de Historia de la información (Capital Intelectual, 2012). Ha traducido y prologado la obra de Simondon en castellano.
Andrés Vaccari es doctor en Filosofía, investigador del CONICET y docente en la Universidad Nacional de Río Negro.
