About the Author: Rafael Cerrato nació en Córdoba en 1951. Hace más de diez años que vive en Sant Andreu de la Barca (un pequeño pueblo de los alrededores de Barcelona - España) en una vieja masía del siglo XVII, cercana a la mágica montaña de Montserrat, de donde, según él, le viene la inspiración. Cursó estudios de ciencias económicas en la facultad de Málaga. Es escritor de ensayos y narrativa, y un investigador interesado en poner al descubierto, para el gran público, grandes verdades históricas que han sido veladas por las historiografías y son acontecimientos clave para entender nuestro presente. Apasionado por otras culturas, ha recorrido medio mundo en sus viajes, y conoce a fondo además de España, los países de: Brasil, México, EE.UU., Israel, Turquia, Tunez, Ukrania, Rusia, República Checa, Francia, Portugal, Alemania, Inglaterra, Irlanda, Suiza, Paraguay, Uruguay y Argentina. Desde diciembre del 2005 que vio luz su primera obra "Carta de Fernando Sánchez Dragó", ha publicado: "Lepanto: la batalla inacabada" y "El imperio perdido de los jázaros"; todas ellas firmadas con el seudónimo de Ramiro Ponce del Río.
