About the Book

ABOUT COLUMBA
Alma Mater III: Columba is the result of poetic stylistic studies focused on phonology, syntax and semantics, that is, the structure in detail, and in particular, on semantics and symbols, on the use of expressive resources, especially in metaphor; in the characterization of the concrete and the abstract in events, classes and objects, and in feeling, as well as the present (in praesentia) and the absent (in absentia); in exquisite free verse and rhyme, without necessarily displaying a perfect metric in each poem, sometimes achieved with great ease. Likewise, the contrast of the subjective with the objective according to the truth expressed in the poem is based on reality or on the fiction developed from some experiential event.
Of course, the present or recent experiences are of great inspiration and with the improvement of the literary technique applied to poetry the objectives of time and space are achieved in an integral way, but the most important aspects beyond this are the literary figures that flow easily with reality, its symbolism, and message semantics.
Ultimately, Alma Mater III: Columba was written between 2017 and 2022 in a variety of settings,
