La advirtieron que podía ser un señuelo de trata de blancas y el destino final sería un país oriental, para esclavizarlas en burdeles donde tenían que hacer el amor más de veintitantas veces al día, con quien fuera, sin poder negarse ni escaparse; pues al llegar les quitaban el pasaporte y les armaban un prontuario delictivo que las exponía a caer en manos de las autoridades por ser inmigrantes ilegales, trabajar de prostitutas y tener cuentas con la ley. El cura se desapuntó los botones más cercanos al cuello y por la cabeza se quitó la sotana. Las mojas escurrieron el hábito por los pies. Los hombres se despojaron de la camisa, luego los pantalones y enseguida los pantaloncillos y las monjas y las otras mujeres el vestido, las enaguas, los brassieres y los calzones. Años antes, perder la virginidad, o cómo se había defendido, constituía el meollo de muchas tragedias o meritorias vidas. Como en el ambiente social donde ella vivía era difícil preservarla, todos querían saber cómo había hecho. Después de la cena la llevaría a bailar y luego a su habitación en el hotel, donde tenía pensado hacerla suya. Y por si acaso Alicia se ponía difícil, llevaba en su bolsillo una pócima que la dormiría con solo un par de gotas untadas en el borde de su copa. Acompañada de sirenas, que a su ruido abrían paso, la llevaron a un hospital donde esperanzados la ingresaron en que se repondría. Tenía, la hechicera, encendido un velón rojo, pero no se veía una lechuza por ninguna parte, ni tampoco un gato negro. Sin embargo, a la habitación le sobraba misterio. Cortinas moradas, penumbroso ambiente y olor a incienso. En sus tiempos juveniles había perpetrado un secuestro que le arrojó mucho dinero, de un extranjero que no demoró en pagarlo con tal de recuperar su libertad y largarse del país. Se dejó crecer la barba, se hizo rapar el cabello, se cubrió la cabeza con una gorra y montado en la motocicleta, ofreciendo libros de mejoramiento personal iba de convento en convento.
