Sexto poemario del autor. En él y con su acostumbrado tono coloquial realiza un viaje vital para descubrir y descubrirse. Las realidades duras de la vida se presentan aqui como parte de una lucha en la que el protagonista tiene algo que decir y algo que escuchar, resumiendo lo aprendido e invitando a seguirle. El poemario se conforma con una gran unidad discursiva, plena de recursos rítmicos y retóricos a la vez que en ocasiones nos presenta una poesía desnuda de artificio para dejar claro lo que está ocurriendo en la vida de todos, no solo del protagonista. El yo hablante se integra a través de una peripecia vital en la sociedad en que vive, buscando su oportunidad y mostrando sus luchas y desvaimientos.
En este poemario cada poema conforma una unidad no segmentada en fragmentos, como sucedía en los anteriores poemarios. De la realidad a la respuesta del abandono al interrogante el yo lucha por encontrar su acomodo en un mundo que no se lo pone facil y donde ciertas personas van a tener su importancia en el devenir del yo.
Antes de este "Alguien está en el silencio" el autor, activo participante de la vida cultural madrileña, en micros abiertos de poesí9a y en recitales propios, solo o con más artistas, ha publicado otros cinco poemarios: Ensueños de fría sombra (2012) Universo y corazón (2016) Cuaderno de León (2017), Antiguo, los poemas del cajón (2018) y El cigarro de la cigarra (2018), disponibles en Amazón. También ha editado un libro de relatos (Todos eran mis alumnos, 2007, reeditado en 2020) y un trabajo de ensayo periodístico titulado Lenguas de ocasión (2021).

El titulo "Alguien está en el silencio" manifiesta una idea muy querida por el autor, que ya aparecía como título de la segunda parte del Cuaderno de León y como un breve poema independiente en El cigarro de la cigarra que reproducimos a continuación: Alguien está en el silencio
que me escucha y comprende;
no me juzga y me quiere,
un yo distinto, más propio
que el acostumbrado ego
que muestro ante los otros.
Ante mí, ante mí mismo:
alguien está en el silencio.
El autor ha sido también maquetador y editor de dos revistas de creación literaria: Sentimientos invisibles, en León (que alcanzó los 52 números mensuales) y Caminante, en Madrid (que alcanzó 19 números mensuales).
El estilo de Daniel Collado es bastante directo, de tono coloquial y con amplitud de recursos retóricos y estilisticos, destacando más por el ritmo que por la metáfora, pues el ritmo es su principal virtud. Sus poemas, no exentos de complejidades llegan con gusto al lector, tanto al joven que empieza como al experto en lecturas de poesía. Tiene temas recurrentes, como el deseo y el sexo, la masculinidad y el feminismo, el amor y el desamor, la lucha por la vida, las edades del hombre, la identidad del yo frente al tu y el ello, la muerte, la pérdida y el abandono, etc. Es una poesía que no deja indiferente y se busca en cada palabra, teniendo cada uno de sus versos identidad propia. De hondura psicologica y filosófica, a veces estoico, a veces existencialista busca afirmarse frente a las vicisitudes con un yo que reconoce no siempre es igual al que presume de ser.
Una novedad importante de "Alguien está en el silencio" es la toma de partido en cuestiones políticas y sociales, ahondando en una veta que ha estado siempre presente pero que se acentuó con el quinto poemario (El cigarro de la cigarra) y que estalla en este poemario. Sin embargo, Daniel Collado siempre vuelve al yo y la lucha con el tú, siendo esta su respuesta primordial. "Alguien está en el silencio" es un poemario de madurez, como ya lo era El cigarro de la cigarra, y se parece mucho al tránsito de su primer poemario (Ensueños de fría sombra) que en ese caso planteaba un viaje desde la ad
