Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Heilpädagogik, Sonderpädagogik, Note: 1,0, Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (Rehabilitationspädagogik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Obwohl der Anteil der ausländischen Schülerinnen und Schüler an der Gesamtschülerschaft nur etwa 10 Prozent bemisst, variiert ihr Anteil in den jeweiligen Bundesländern erheblich. Zahlen des Statistischen Bundesamtes aus dem Jahr 2008 weisen ein differentes Bild aus: Während die Stadtstaaten Berlin, Hamburg und Bremen eine bemessen an der Gesamtbevölkerung hohe Ausländerquote (ca. 14%) verzeichnen, wird diese Quote in den ostdeutschen Ländern lediglich auf kleiner als drei Prozent beziffert (STATISTISCHES BUNDESAMT 2008). Unterschiede gibt es ebenfalls innerhalb der einzelnen Flächenländer, vor allem im Vergleich ländlicher Regionen mit urbanen Räumen sowie innerhalb großer Städte bezüglich der jeweiligen Stadtwohngebiete. Zudem variiert die Ausländerquote an den jeweiligen Schularten. Beispielsweise beläuft sich der Ausländeranteil an den Hauptschulen des Bundeslandes Baden-Württemberg im Schuljahr 2007/08 auf knapp 25%, an Gymnasien auf lediglich 4,4%. An Förderschulen mit Förderschwerpunkt Lernen sind es gar 38% (vgl. ebd.)! Dieses unrühmliche Beispiel verdeutlicht die Brisanz der Thematik. Es zeigt exemplarisch, dass ausländische Schüler an Hauptschulen und an Schulen für Lernbehinderte erheblich überrepräsentiert sind. Ausgehend von der Frage, inwiefern Schüler und Schülerinnen mit Migrationshintergrund im Bildungssystem der Bundesrepublik Deutschland beteiligt bzw. benachteiligt werden, soll der Zusammenhang zum Schulerfolg und der Bildungsbeteiligung ebendieser Schüler betrachtet werden. Zu untersuchen ist, ob das weit verbreitete Vorurteil, 'Kinder mit Migrationshintergrund seien schlecht in der Schule', statistisch belegt werden kann oder zu widerlegen ist.
