Mehr ader weniger kritisch werden deren lnhalte begutachtet, und p?dago- gische MaBnahmen verfolgen - insbesondere wenn es um Film und Fernsehen und um jugendliche Rezipienten geht- immer noch das Ziel, zu schUtzen und zu bewahren. Der Rezipient gilt als Konsument und die vorrangige p?da- gogische Aufgabe wird darin gesehen, ihn zum 'richtigen' Konsum anzulei- ten. Bereits seit den 20er und 30er Jahren gibt es jedoch eine andere Blickrich- tung auf die Medien: Sie sieht die Medien zuvorderst als technische Mittel, deren Bestimmung sich nicht allein in der passiven Nutzung erschopft. Me- dien konnen vielmehr - zumindest potentiell - von den Rezipienten selbst aktiv genutzt werden. BerUhmt fUr diese Blickrichtung ist die Forderung Bertolt Brechts geworden, den Radioapparat von einem Distributions- in einen Kommunikationsapparat umzuwandeln, ihn also fUr alle als ein Mittel Kommunikation verfUgbar zu machen. In einer Reihe theore- der zweiseitigen tischer Ans?tze wurde dieser Gedanke aufgegriffen und begrUndet. FuB fas- sen konnten solche Ans?tze in der Medienp?dagogik jedoch ebensowenig wie vereinzelte Versuche, das theoretische Konzept in der p?dagogischen Praxis zu konkretisieren.
