About the Book

Amanda Charlton worked in the Offices of SYNO Security as secretary to the managing director Clive Aynesworth. To everyone this was a private security company specialising in corporate events. In reality Amanda was a highly trained and very efficient Special Agent, code named Ginger. Ginger was usually the last resort when complications occurred and other operatives failed on a mission. Ginger would be sent to deal with the situation and clear up the mess.Amanda's next assignment was to go to Hong Kong to bust a gang of Chinese dissidents who were trying to destabilize the handover of Hong Kong; back to the Chinese by the British government. This was to be achieved by releasing a new kind of nerve gas on to one of their most populous city of Shanghai in order to destabilise the Chinese government. Amanda's mission was to infiltrate the gang, find the bomb of nerve gas, or where they were making it; disarm and destroy it quickly before they had the chance to release it. The Chinese security team were working closely with Syno to get this sorted, and a specialist Chinese teacher had been assigned to teach Amanda the local dialect quite quickly.Amanda was trained in martial arts and an excellent shot with the pistol. She is a stunning 5' 8" slightly athletically built woman. Her father was an English Professor and her mum a beautiful Lagosian, was a successful entrepreneur. Amanda had a mop of long curly ginger hair and lightly tanned skin as a result of her mixed parentage, and overall she was quite attractive. She graduated in psychology from the University of Brighton. Dr and Mrs Joseph Charlton lived in West Sussex.Clive on the other hand was a 6' 4" athletically built man with dark short cropped hair from a secret service background. He graduated from Cambridge University and came from Old money. Most heads tend to turn to look at him whenever he walked past, he commanded respect amongst his colleagues, subordinates, and superiors alike. He was very attractive, most women would consider him quite a catch, most women, except of course Amanda Charlton (Agent Ginger). This story is partly about the romance which developed between Amanda and Clive and the many dangerous missions Amanda had to carry out helped by Clive. Their adrenaline fueled adventures and dependency on each other drew them together as they took on dangerous exploits for Queen and Country and powerful Government parastatals. Clive's parents, Lord Anthony and Lady Dorothy Aynesworth live in Berkshire.Amanda's best friend Giselle, is a standby pilot for Syno.
