Join Private Duke and Daisy Wears as they share their basic "private training" tips.
Everyone's body is SPECIAL, and young children need to learn they are in charge of how other people can and cannot touch their body, especially their private parts. Through rhyming verse and beautifully illustrated locations from the everyday life of preschoolers, Private Duke and Daisy Wears remind kids that their bodies are unique gifts and they are in charge of learning how to keep their bodies safe and healthy.
Private Duke and Daisy know their private parts have an important job to do (go potty) and promise to respect and protect them by never letting anyone else touch them.
Using charming characters, a clever military theme, and catchy rhymes, After Potty Training Comes Private Training offers a simple message of love, respect, and protection that will help foster a healthy sense of self-worth, a positive body image, and a strong foundation for future safety discussions.
In the vein of Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept by Jayneen Sanders, I Said No! by Zack and Kimberly King, and Let's B Safe by Brenda Zofrea, this unique book teaches potty trained children they are the boss of their body, private parts are private and to never keep secrets.
About the Author: In 1995, after the birth of her first child, a successful career in corporate training with a rigorous travel schedule, and painful memories of inappropriate behavior from a relative, Linda Fratantoni chose to redirect her training talents to the area of child safety.
She has spent the last twenty years developing, marketing, and executing child safety programs throughout the greater Philadelphia area. The programs teach young children and their families how to prevent abduction and sexual abuse in a nonthreating, memorable way. She has devotedly worked with over 25,000 children!
She was inspired to write After Potty Training Comes Private Training in an effort to reach more children and their families so they can learn to love, respect, and protect their bodies-and ultimately prevent more children from experiencing the trauma of sexual abuse.
She currently lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with her husband of thirty-six years, two beautiful daughters, and her cherished golden retriever, Lilly.
