About the Author: Federica Rosso, graduated cum laude in Building and Architectural Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome, completed her doctoral studies in Architectural and Urban Engineering in the same University (2017). She is currently postdoctoral research fellow at University of Perugia and lecturer at Sapienza University of Rome. She has been visiting research scholar at New York University Tandon School of Engineering (2014-2015). Her research deals with construction elements design for the built environment, passive strategies to improve buildings' energy performance, passive strategies to improve outdoor thermal comfort in urban areas, and urban resiliency. On these topics, she published more than 30 scientific articles published on international scientific journals and participated to national and international conferences. She acts as a reviewer for international scientific journals, such as Building and Environment, Construction and Building Materials, Sustainable Cities and Society, Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy, Journal of Building Engineering, Energy Reports, Tunneling and Underground Space Technology, Energy and Buildings, Solar Energy and others.
Claudia Fabiani is a dynamic and versatile research scientist with extensive detailed research an experimental experience. Claudia holds a broad set of analytic and technical skills in the field of environmental engineering and material development for energy efficiency in buildings. Born in 1988 in Ascoli Piceno (Italy), Claudia graduated in Building Engineering and Architecture in 2015, and in March 2019, she got her Ph.D. in Energy and Sustainable Development at University of Perugia with a scholarship founded by the CIRIAF Inter-University Research Center. In 2017, she joined as a visiting student research collaborator of the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department of Princeton University, New Jersey (USA), where she cooperated with Professor Elie Bou-Zeid. During the course of her Ph.D., Claudia had the chance to cooperate to several European calls in the framework of Horizon 2020 program, and she was actively involved in education, being co-supervisor of engineering doctors' master thesis at University of Perugia, and in undertaking research and experimental activities. Claudia has published more than 20 papers in international (ISI) journals and several conference papers. She is a reviewer for Building and Environment, Cement and Concrete Composites, Solar Energy, Energy, Applied Energy, Journal of Energy Storage, and Energy and Buildings journal. Claudia currently holds a Post-Doc Research Fellowship, under the frame of the SWS HEATING European project for the Development and Validation of an Innovative Solar Compact Selective-Water-Sorbent Based Heating System.
