Stacey Reid has known since she was a teenager that she wants to adopt. She understands the joy she could bring to a child's life simply by having an open heart and an open home.
Her family has been supportive of her decision, but Reid has encountered numerous other naysayers. Everyone seems to have an opinion about adoption, and many of those judgments are misinformed. In this new collection of narratives, Reid shares the personal journeys of several families from Los Cabos, Mexico, to show the world how amazing and fulfilling adoption can be.
The stories told by Stacey, Angelica, Carolina, the Bravos, Beth, Serena, Cathy and Lupita demonstrate the many challenges families face when they decide to adopt. These families discuss their frustration with the sheer amount of red tape and bureaucracy they experienced throughout their adoption process.
However, while the adoption process in Mexico may be complicated and lengthy, the result is equally miraculous. Reid has seen, in her own family as in others, the unbreakable bond that forms between the parents and the child they have chosen to love. She hopes to inspire you to consider adoption yourself!
