About the Author

Alan Cooper has been a pioneer of the modern computing era. His ground-breaking work in software design and construction has influenced a generation of programmers and business people--and helped a generation of users. He is best known as the "Father of Visual Basic," inventor of personas and founder of Cooper, the leading design consultancy. Robert Reimann, is a Principal Interaction Designer at Sonos. Previously he was Associate Creative Director at frog design and Director of Design R&D at Cooper where he led dozens of design projects and helped develop many of the methods described in the About Face series. He is the Founding Director and President of the IxDA (Interaction Design Association), the first and only international organization for interaction design professionals and was co-author on About Face 3.0. David Cronin is Director, Interaction Design at GE Design & Experience. He is a former Director of Interaction Design at Cooper, where he's led the design of products for such diverse users as surgeons, museum visitors, online shoppers, automobile drivers, financial analysts and the elderly. He is an experienced speaker, educator and co-author of About Face 3.

About the Book

About the Author

Alan Cooper is the Chairman and Co-founder of Cooper, where he has spent more than a decade making high-tech products easier to use and less expensive to build, a practice known as “Interaction Design.” Cooper is recognized around the globe as the pioneer and leader in this field. In 1988, he invented a visual programming platform called Ruby, which he sold to Bill Gates and which was subsequently released as the “visual” part of Microsoft’s Visual Basic. In 1994, Bill Gates presented Mr. Cooper with the first Windows Pioneer Award. Robert Reimann has spent the past 15 years pushing the boundaries of digital products as a designer, writer, lecturer, and consultant. He has led dozens of design consulting projects for startups and Fortune 500 clients alike. In his former role as Director of Design R&D at Cooper, Mr. Reimann led the development and refinement of many of the Goal-Directed Design methods described in About Face 2.0. Mr.Reimann is currently Manager of User Experience at Bose Corporation in Framingham, MA.

    A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

    Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
