About the Book

This essay sheds light on the causes of viruses and elucidates what a virus is considered. Moreover, how to easily prevent viruses is explicated and the myriad deadly disease causing foods that you should always desist from ever considering devouring are identified. Furthermore, how to substantially mitigate risks for succumbing to contracting perilous chronic diseases by embracing a salubrious, heart healthy, brain healthy, kidney healthy, anticancer, antidiabetic, nutrient dense, alkaline, antioxidant rich, anti-inflammatory, raw fruitarian diet is expounded upon in this essay. The causes behind viruses are multitudinous and should not be overlooked, especially since contracting a virus is relatively easy if you make imprudent decisions and desist from taking precautionary measures to safeguard your health. Viruses can be found almost anywhere on the planet since they "are microscopic organisms that can infect animals, plants, fungi, and even bacteria" ("What to know," n.d.). Viral infections do not always trigger a noticeable symptomatic reaction. Therefore, someone can have contracted a viral infection, unbeknownst to himself and others. The effects that viruses elicit can vary in nature and potency. In other words, some viruses are deemed far more deadly than others. Moreover, "a virus may also have one effect on one type of organism, but a different effect on another" ("What to know," n.d.). Viruses can also be eminently fatal and can impact certain species far more adversely than other species who have stronger immune systems. "Viruses vary in complexity. They consist of genetic material, RNA or DNA, surrounded by a coat of protein, lipid (fat), or glycoprotein" ("What to know," n.d.). Viruses are unable to "replicate without a host" ("What to know," n.d.) and are deemed parasitical in nature. Much to the dismay of health conscious individuals, viruses are the utmost "abundant biological entity on the planet" ("What to know," n.d.). Viruses can be found in almost all ecosystems on the planet and exist as virions before they pervasively enter host cells to infect. As virions, "they are roughly one-hundredth the size of a bacterium and consist of two or three distinct parts" ("What to know," n.d.) which encompass genetic material, a protein coat or capsid, and a lipid envelope that is sometimes present around the protein coat when the virus is outside of the cell" ("What to know," n.d.). Since viruses lack a ribosome, they are unable to produce proteins which renders them dependent on host cells. Viruses are parasitical in nature, can replicate themselves indefinitely, and can decimate the health of an ailing individual who has a comprised immune system. Viruses "are the only type of microorganism that cannot reproduce without a host cell. After contacting a host cell, a virus will insert genetic material into the host and take over that host's functions. After infecting the cell, the virus continues to reproduce, but it produces more viral protein and genetic material instead of the usual cellular products" ("What to know," n.d.). Viruses come in disparate "shapes and sizes, and they can be categorized by their shapes" ("What to know," n.d.). There are helical viruses, icosahedral viruses, and envelope viruses. Envelope viruses for instance "cover themselves with a modified section of cell membrane, creating a protective lipid envelope". Envelope viruses can "include the influenza virus and HIV" ("What to know," n.d.). Other shapes for viruses "are possible, including nonstandard shapes that combine both helical and icosahedral forms" ("What to know," n.d.). Virus have been designed to "exist only to reproduce. The makeup of a virus affects its ability to spread" ("What to know," n.d.). Viruses can unabashedly spread from person to person and can even be transmitted "from a mother to child during pregnancy or delivery" ("What to know," n.d.). Viruses are also dynamic and are not immutable since they can change overtime.
