Some real-life romances come with their own soundtracks. In Morty and Lila Linzer's case, their marriage was set to the great love songs of the 1930s and '40s, and their lives soared with every refrain. A life well lived is a blessing. A life well lived and shared with another is an absolute miracle.
Morty's boundless energy led Lila to a three-hundred-year-old villa outside of Florence and cliffside hideaways in the Caribbean. The two studied literature at Cambridge, and were threatened by the Italian mafia. They wined and dined with the glitterati of Manhattan nightlife, and dealt with ransom demands from Guatemalan guerillas. Life was always adventurous, sometimes dangerous, but never, ever dull.
Travel from the silken sheets of the Grand Hotel in Grindenwald to a swinging Costa Rican nightclub at three o'clock in the morning, and experience a love without end, told in Lila Linzer's own words. 50 Years of Wonderful reminds you that the world is full of wonders ripe for the picking, and that dreams can-and do-come true.

About the Author: Author Lila Linzer, along with her husband Morty, traveled the world for business and pleasure. Over the years they lived in a three-hundred-year-old villa in Italy, a thatched cottage on an English village green, a rambling ranch house on the north shore of Long
Island, and a cliff-hugging "castle-in-the-air" overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Once Upon An Island, her critically acclaimed collection of original West Indian fables, was published throughout the United Kingdom, the United States, and surprisingly, even found its way into Japan. These days she divides her time between St. Croix in the Virgin Islands and a high-rise apartment in midtown Manhattan. She is currently at work on a second volume of memoirs titled Where The Flying Fishes Play.
