FORGIVENESS

Among the mountains' peaks it is the hardest to conquer.
A mighty height, made of unmatched virtues.

Even lovers are belittled by its stature,
as it is easier to love than forgive.

But what is Forgiveness,
if not the miracle of human redemption?

They say:
"How can we forgive those that killed our child?
Or our best friends that stole our spouses?"

We should, because a life without forgiveness,
is a body with a rotten liver
that screams in pain at the end of every meal.

It is not what we try to forgive that matters,
but the letting go of the weight that hovers on our hearts.

That is why forgiveness was the child
born from atonement conception,
that chose love over resentment.

We do not forgive by forgetting
those vile deeds we endured,
but by transcending their memories.

Forgiveness never befriends those crows on the ground,
it ventures where the albatross dares.

And those Gods, that punish us for our sins,
and let us burn in the hell they created,
lack forgiveness.

They are just man's creation,
built over pain and delusion,
and foreigners to the splendor of heaven.

They do not know the real nature of the Supreme,
which is the very essence of Forgiveness.

We should let our Love and Forgiveness
join in holy ceremony,
to which angels flock in attendance
thanking the Almighty,
that forgives and love us
again and again without constraints.
