The 5 Step Essay Writing Process: English Essay Writing Skills for ESL Students
I am a TESOL Instructor in English academic writing skills who has 4 years experience teaching essay writing to mainly international undergraduate ESL students for university entrance.
The research for this book comes from years of teaching writing, and I feel well qualified to write eBooks on academic writing skills for International ESL Students.
I chose to write about the academic English Writing process as a request from some of my ESL Students. I had completed two academic writing books, one titled "Academic Writing for Graduate Students - Paragraph Essentials for International ESL Students", and the other titled "Practical Academic Essay Writing Skills - An International ESL Students English Essay Writing Handbook" when it was pointed out to me that the actual essay writing process, although covered in the two books, was a bit vague. So, in an en devour to fill the gaps for all my ESL students, I wrote this book.
This book is about the actual 5 step essay writing process only. It contains tips, ideas and a basic process for ESL Students to follow. It doesn't contain anything about paragraph or essay essentials. They are covered in my first two books which you can purchase from Amazon
This book will supplement the essay writing process outlined in the other two books. The fact that it doesn't contain paragraph or essay structure may be seen as a weakness by some, however, others will already know the theory of English Academic Writing, and only wish to know the practical "how to" to write an academic essay.
Although, I wrote it for my ESL Students, I see that any international students including high school students, graduate and undergraduate students, and mature age students will benefit greatly from understanding and applying the process.
The book outlines the basic 5 steps which include: - Pre-write
- Organize
- First Draft
- Revise and Edit
- Final Copy
The benefits to you are you will learn a practical 5 step essay writing process that works each and every time.
The best part is you results will improve which means you and your instructor will be happy.
To conclude, you must follow the process if you want better results. That means apply your learning. Just don't be an academic, take action and you will write your way to a BA.
