About the Book

One night around 11:00 am, government soldiers forced into Sisay's house told him to get up and come with them to a detention facility. At the time he was confused and did not know what was going on. They forced him and his daughter onto a military truck along with other deportees. You Eritrean people should leave our country said one of the soldier literally at gun point. This is a government order so that you are not allowed to ask any questions. After hours of driving, they have been told to get off the truck. Where are we going from here, everybody murmured with anger. All of them gathered and agreed to walk to the Eritrean border before it gets dark. Once they reach to the border, there were ten thousands of deportee in the camp. They have been told to wait a bus to drive all of them to the refugee camp in Eritrea. During the voyage, the bus he was in had engine problem. Sisay Knows this is the end and started praying: "Dear Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for my sin, and through your death, you have extended to me forgiveness and grace. Please forgive me of my sin and come into my heart. Be the lord of my life. In Jesus'name, I pray. Amen." The bus driver could not control the bus. The bus hit the guardrail, overturned and fell down the steep roadside. No one survived from the accident including Sisay, his daughter and his best friend Abeba.
Although this cruel persecution led to his death, Sisay remained a sincere and fearful of God while he was alive. This terrible road to exile helped him to strengthen his faith and hope-more importantly, his faith in the Almighty God. After his death, he found himself in heaven talking to God.

Due to his perseverance in faith, he was chosen by our Creator and given him the second chance in life on earth. He was really happy about this second chance to live on earth. It is like he is born again. This is a new beginning for him. He thought about his love Hiwot and might get a chance to see her again, God works mysteriously, thought for a second.

Once he arrived to a place where he grew up, he managed to open a health center to help the public. No one would recognize him including friends grew up with because God altered his appearance and looks. One day unexpectedly his ex-girlfriend Hiwot showed up seeking treatment. He recognized her right away. He was sad and emotional when he sees her the first time and every time, he visited her. He could not reveal himself to her because she might not believe him. Finally, he decided to reveal himself and he did. She did not believe him. Then, he started to tell her how they met, where and how they spent their time together. Still did not believe him. How can she believe him because he does not look like the person she had fallen in love? One day he invited her family and best friends for a reunion. He knew God will change him back the way he was before his death. When he proposed to marry her, he looked her up. And she saw the person she knew, the person she falls in love with. She was excited and said I am astonished, but very thank full, that god has chosen you to be my lover and partner in life. Yes... yes, I will marry you. Finally, they got married in front of family and friends.
