About the Author: Nearly six years ago, Eddie lost his eyesight to a genetic disease. A year later, he enrolled in a local school for the blind, located on the downtown campus of Florida State College Jacksonville, where he learned the skills necessary to return to living an independent life. However, it was from this experience in which he learned the principle to change your life, you must change your thoughts. Today, he lives this principle and teaches it to those who are ready to change their lives for the better. He teaches how to let go of the past and its limitations, and to fully live in the present moment where life happens. Eddie, with the help of others, has created Transcending Me (https: //transcendingme.com), which is devoted to the cause of helping others to develop the skills necessary to enjoy an abundant life filled with inner peace and joy. In addition, he is the assistant spiritual leader for Unity Church Jacksonville. He facilitates three different classes devoted to the art of thought. He guides those participants in understanding that their thoughts shape the world they perceive. He simply teaches that in order to live a life of true joy, true peace, and true abundance, the student must examine his or her limiting beliefs and create ones which foster those that will allow each student to reach the goals for which he or she has set. Before losing his eyesight, he taught chemistry, biochemistry, and anatomy and physiology to allied health professional students. He did his bachelor studies at the University of Central Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He did his graduate studies at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Furthermore, his passion for teaching has led to this work of creating positive change in people's lives.
