Laut Prof. Dr. Waldemar Pelz der Technischen Hochschule Mittelhessen führen die meisten Unternehmen im DAX, welcher die 30 umsatzstärksten und größten deutschen Unternehmen beinhaltet, den Feedback-Prozess durch. Beispiele dafür sind eines der weltweit größten Konzerne für zivile Luftfahrt, die Lufthansa, sowie der Pharma-Riese Bayer. Für kleinere Unternehmen ist das 360°-Feedback weniger interessant. Das 360°-Feedback gehört aus Sicht der Autoren der Seminararbeit zur Personalbeurteilung und -entwicklung. Aus einem anderen Blickwinkel gesehen kann es aber auch zur Personalführung und Motivation gezählt werden. Die Seminararbeit zielt darauf ab, das 360°-Feedback genauer zu erläutern. Anfangs wird das Instrument definiert und das 360°-Feedback in ihre beiden Bestandteile zerlegt. Nachdem auf das Auswahlverfahren, den Prozess und das Ergebnis eingegangen wird, folgt die kritische Betrachtung des Instruments. Anschließend werden die zukünftigen Trends kurz beschreiben. Um den Praxisbezug zum Thema herzustellen werden zum Schluss noch zwei Fallbeispiele erklärt.
