Over the next 21 days, I would like to challenge you and your thoughts to begin to create the world and the environment you desire to live in. In Genesis chapter 1 (NIV), it speaks of how God created the world with His words, "and God said..." is referenced at the beginning of each verse of this chapter. When I thought about it I got a revelation. If you and I are made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27, NIV), wouldn't we have the same capability to create our future with the words that we speak. So the feelings of depression, negativity or unhappiness are all thoughts contrary to the word of God. If you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, should we still carry the burden? You do not have to answer that question now, but if you take this challenge seriously, you will discover at the end of these 21 days you control the direction your life will go and you had the answer the entire time.
About the Author: Born Monique Marchand on the seventh day of August in the late seventies, in Killeen, TX, Mrs. Monique A. Epps lived most of her life in New Orleans, LA. Her entire life she knew that she wanted to be a dancer, and entrepreneur. She witnessed the power of God at an early age. Her mother served as an usher throughout her childhood, and she and her siblings served in the choir and dance ministries throughout her youth. In addition to her family's foundation in the things of God, she had a significant foundation from the Sisters of the Holy Family. She attended St. Mary's Academy all female Catholic secondary institution from grades seventh through twelfth. She was an active member of the Modern Dance Team, Cheerleading Squad, Resurrection Choir, Track Team and Student Council. Her senior year she participated in Dual Enrollment at Xavier University, and graduated class of 1996. The summer immediately following graduation she attended the University of New Orleans, transferring to Southern University the Fall of 1996. Upon graduation, she continued growing in the things of God at a new place of worship. She served in the choir, praise team and liturgical dance ministry for adults, and was the overseer for the youth liturgical dance ministry. It was August 7, 2004 when she was invited to her first encounter at a local church. At that time, she truly felt the power of God. " It is nothing like having your life transformed, my belief in God increased when I was filled with the power of the Holy Ghost" says Mrs. Epps. In her spare time, she began writing spiritual poems, that eventually became raps. She has written an EP entitled "Power", and produced a song, entitled "Take-away" for a fundraiser to raise money for a village in South Africa. She operates under the creative name "Moni Jai", which is a combination of her first name and the pronunciation of her deceased son Jah'mon. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, a Masters of Arts in Teaching Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, and a Masters of Administration Supervision from Southern University A&M College. Her motto is "There is No Excellence without Hard Labor", first learned as her high school's motto, they are now the words that keeps her dedicated to give her very best in all areas of her life.
