About the Book

The book begins by tracing the evolution of human emotions and how they have shaped our behavior over time. It goes on to explore the concept of the ego and its impact on our thoughts, beliefs, and actions.

The author then introduces readers to some of the more complex mental states, such as nihilism, hedonism, and absurdism, and discusses how these impact our perception of the world and our place in it.

Throughout the book, readers are treated to a wealth of real-life examples that help illustrate the concepts being discussed. The author draws from personal experiences, as well as the experiences of others, to provide a rich tapestry of stories that bring the lessons to life.

A story based upon a real-life example mentioned in the book:
Story of a person who accidentally murdered his own brother: There was a man who had a dark secret that he kept within himself. He had pushed his own brother from the roof during an argument and the brother had died due to the fall. It was unintentionally done out of anger. Nobody saw that and people assumed that his brother simply fell down from the roof. The man kept quiet about the incident. The man refused to accept to himself that he had done anything wrong. He made a conviction that his brother deserved it because he had been disrespectful towards him and all disrespectful brothers deserve this. As time passed, the man's denial grew stronger and stronger. He convinced himself that he had done the right thing and that he had no reason to feel guilty. He started to live his life as if nothing had happened, but deep down he knew the truth. He had taken the life of his own flesh and blood. The man's denial had become so strong that he couldn't even remember what had happened that day. He had blocked out the memory completely and refused to acknowledge that it had ever occurred. His denial had created an endless loop of fear and anxiety inside his mind, as he was constantly worried that someone would find out about his secret. Despite the guilt weighing heavily on his conscience, the man found it impossible to admit to himself that he had done something wrong. In the end, the man's denial caused him to become lost in the dark hallways of his own mind. He had gone so far down the path of denial that he could no longer see the light. He was trapped in his own ego, unable to escape the endless loop of fear and guilt that had consumed him. The man's guilt had become a heavy burden to carry, and he found himself drowning in denial. He began to cope with his emotions by turning to alcoholic addiction, using them as a means of escape from reality. The alcohol allowed him to dissociate from his conscious living, and he no longer had to face the overwhelming guilt that consumed him.
