I was in the same situation as you almost exactly 5 years ago, staring at a computer screen at 7am, in a depressing portable office, drinking Nescafe from a plastic cup on a construction site on a cold winter's day in Melbourne, Australia.
I constantly wondered if there was more to life than this uninspiring routine of making money, spending money, accumulating debts, paying debts, then dying.
Luckily (like you) I had the guts to aspire for more, not to just accept this cookie cutter way of living.
So, I quit my job, sold everything, and set off on a journey to start living life on my terms.
This was in 2019, before the "digital nomad" craze and the variety of online work opportunities, so I really had no idea what I was doing - I just knew that I was going to commit 12 months to figuring it out.
Motivated by the fact that I never wanted to return to office life again, I spent the next 3 years reading books and articles, watching YouTube videos and taking paid courses to learn how to finance the kind of life that I wanted - going fully remote, having no boss to answer to, no alarm clocks and no fixed schedule.
Over the past couple of years I've finally achieved this - going full time as a YouTuber and financing my life through brand deals, course sales and the sale of other digital products like this one.
