About the Author: Paul R. Marriott, CLU, ChFC, CAIA, is the founder and president of Marriott Organization Inc., a firm specializing in estate planning, executive benefits, qualified plans, and asset management strategies.
He received his bachelor's degree in 1964 from the University of Washington and began a career in the life insurance business in 1967. He founded Marriott Organization Inc. in 1974 and received his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 1976 and his Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 1985.
He is also a registered principal associated with First Allied Securities Inc. of San Diego, California, through which he offers securities and equity-based financial products. He has received numerous insurance industry awards and honors and received his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation (CAIA) in 2013.
He has served on numerous nonprofit and charitable boards and is a trustee of his own charitable trust.
