About the Book

Psychiatrists and therapists wonder how exactly the 12 Steps work! Parents and teachers desperately search for ways to control anger and prevent addiction and behavioral problems in children! Rajiv Bhole, a topper from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a former all-India representative of one of the 12 Step programs, after 20 years of solid research has finally discovered, embedded in the 12 Step program, a therapy that makes the program so very effective. The therapy, which was the path followed by the AA founders, is a simple psychoanalysis that quickly helps a person to overcome his anger and hatred and handle his emotions, and to improve relationships and overcome addiction and other behavioral problems. By adding to it the Lost Path of the Buddha - of dispassionately observing one's body sensations, which the Bhagavad Gita acclaims as the only way to attain 'amrit, ' immortality - the therapy has been made even more effective. This book gives you the precise directions of the therapy, and will help not only parents, teachers, addicts, social workers, doctors and therapists but, as it directly addresses the Maslow Model's four deficiency needs, will also be a great asset to human resource professionals, for achieving self-actualization
About the Author: The author is a topper from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. After turning on in the sixties and tuning in to see through the barbarous atrocities of human society while still on campus, he dropped out of the rat race and stayed high on the hill, experimenting with all sorts of substances, researching over twenty years for his imaginative PhD in LSD. Since he cleaned out his act, he continued on with his research the next twenty years, anonymously helping addicts and alcoholics in the 12 Step fellowships, till he finally found the way to change human nature. He has counseled hundreds of addicts and alcoholics with the program explained in his book, transforming their lives. In order to continue his research, with a few alternate therapies that he has identified, and also to help addicts and to spread the message of this program to alleviate the suffering of the common man he started an NGO, Be Happy Foundation, and has written his book for the NGO. This book is the first part of his dissertation. He is sure that the meaning and purpose of life is to experience and go beyond the boundaries of time and space to experience the deathless state, also called 'amrit' or nirvana. He regularly meditates and goes for Vipassana meditation retreats and takes his directions from his body, rather than listen to his crazy mind - childlike in his instinctive ways. He loves to travel, goes hiking in the Himalayas, practices yoga and tai-chi, dances with the kids on the beach, and even dances through the mini-marathons, listening to his sixties music, rather than run to the beats of society. His Golden Principle of Living is: "You can do whatever you want to do, as long as you don't obstruct the freedom of others." He loves good food and gorges on pounds of ice cream and cakes whenever he feels like it. He maintains his weight, after having lost all his 18 lbs extra weight, by feeding the brain with the proper nutrient supplements it requires. His food matrix is: "Feed the brain right and it will keep the body right, healthy and in tune." Having found the wonderful program to change human nature, his mission in life is to Change the World.
