"Tata punea-n taină/ Soarele pe masă, / Mămăligă caldă din alt veac/ Aşa controla el universul/ Câteodată, înstrunând iubirea./ Ne hrăneam cu raze/ Şi cu lapte cosmic./ Clocoteam de gânduri/ Pe vetrele sonore/ De parcă eram oalele fierbând/ În care el pregătea/ Propriul lui suflet/ Pentru ospăţul timpului ce vine..."
Aşa îşi începe Vasile Poenaru unul dintre poemele antologiei sale publicate în 2015 la eLiteratura, Bucureşti, finalul acestuia fiind revelator pentru lirica robustă şi greu încărcată de semnificaţie a acestui cântăreţ neobosit al necuprinsului Bărăganului (ca spaţiu prin excelenţă arhaic şi existenţial): "Gravităm şi-acum/ În jurul mesei/ Pe orbite tot mai depărtate/ Şi măcar o rază/ Din soarele acela aburind/ Până la inima noastră/ Tot mai străbate."
Antologia se numeşte 101 poezii, titlul poemului citat fiind Soarele şi tata. Reprezentativă pentru trei decenii de creaţie lirică (începută încă din 1969, când poetul a debutat editorial, şi până în 1999, un an apogeu în care îi apar de trei volume), lucrarea cuprinde titluri selectate din nu mai puţin de şapte volume: Naşterea mea în poezie (1969), Jungla marină (1971), Muntele (1975), Investigaţii (1984), Ninsori în Bărăgan (1999), Sonete (1999), respectiv, Cerbul lovit între coarne (1999). Rezultatul selecţiei este impresionant: avem în faţă o carte unitară în expresie şi idee a unui poet care, parcă impasibil la orientările tentant derutante ale post- şi transmodernismului deceniilor din urmă, ca ambiguitatea, discontinuitatea, nonortodoxismul, perversiunea, descompunerea, ironia sau demistificarea (ca să amintesc doar câteva din trăsăturile pe care i le atribuie Ihab Hassan literaturii postmoderne), refuză tendinţele demolatoare şi livreşti, construindu-şi discursul pe un fundament incontestabil al valorii. Căci dacă postmodernismul se orientează în contra tradiţiei, dar şi a realităţii (existenţiale, spirituale, umane la urma urmei), Vasile Poenaru nu doar că evocă această realitate, ci o transformă într-o certitudine, într-o componentă esenţială a fiinţării noastre, relevându-i astfel dimensiunea mitică şi sfinţind-o prin creaţia sa. About the Author:

Vasile Poenaru s-a născut la 22 august 1955, în Miloşeşti, Ialomiţa.

Este scriitor, membru al Uniunii Scriitorilor din România.

A publicat şapte volume de versuri, antologia poetică Jungla marină 1969-1999, apărută în 1999 la Editura Coresi, Bucureşti, precum şi mai multe cărţi de povestiri, poezii şi scenete pentru copii.

Este autor de dicţionare şi lucrări didactice.

A alcătuit o antologie din poeziile lui Nichita Stănescu şi a tradus-o în limba engleză în colaborare cu poetul american Tom Carlson; intitulată "Bas-Relief with Heroes," antologia a apărut în 1988 la Memphis University Press.

A predat limba engleză în cadrul Universităţii din Bucureşti şi la Clubul Copiilor Sector 2, Bucureşti.

Ca editor, coordonează Proiectul eLiteratura şi supervizează programul editurilor ePublishers, eLiteratura, eDidactica, Cartea de Metrou, WWW.CORESI.NET, Online School, Editura Petre Ghelmez ş. a.
