Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Philosophie des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts, Note: 2,0, Universität Leipzig (Institut für Philosophie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Rahmen meines Lehramtstudiums nahm ich im Wintersemester 2006/2007 an dem Proseminar "Einführung in die Klassische deutsche Philosophie" teil, in dessen Mittelpunkt die Auseinandersetzung mit Schriften Johann Gottlieb Fichtes stand. Im Verlauf des Seminars befassten wir uns unter anderem auch mit den "Reden an die deutsche Nation". Hier interessierte mich besonders der Begriff der Nation, den Fichte in den Reden verwendet. Dass Fichte einen Nationenbegriff hat, ist notwendig daraus zu schließen, dass er sich mit seinen Reden an eine Nation, genauer gesagt an die deutsche Nation, richtet. Was aber bedeutet für Fichte der Begriff "Nation"? Beim arbeiten mit den Reden erging es mir teilweise wie SACK, einem der Berliner Zensoren, der nach der Lektüre der 3. Rede schrieb: "Mir ist die Weißheit des H. Fichte zu hoch und gänzlich ungenießbar. Ich verstehe ihn nicht, und kann ihn also nicht beurteilen." Dennoch habe ich mich von den Stellen, die mir dunkel geblieben sind, nicht entmutigen lassen, mich mit dem Begriff der Nation in den Reden auseinander zu setzen. Um mich der begrifflichen Ebene meines Untersuchungsgegenstandes zu nähern, werde ich mir zunächst ein begriffliches Grundgerüst erarbeiten, welches ich aus der Schnittmenge verschiedener Definitionen von Nation gewinnen möchte. Als Quellen sollen mir dabei Einträge aus Wörterbücher dienen, die aufgrund ihres unterschiedlichen Erscheinungsdatums und ihrer unterschiedlichen wissenschaftlichen Pointierung, einen Begriff von Nation entstehen lassen, der weder zeitlich, noch thematisch einseitig ist. Bei der Arbeit mit den Wörterbucheinträgen werde ich chronologisch vorgehen, beginnend mit dem ältesten Wörterbuch. Auf der Basis dieses Grundgerüstes strebe ich einen Vergleich an, in dessen Verlauf, Fichtes Begriff der Nation
