Ásta Dís ÓladóttirDr. Óladóttir earned her Ph.D in international business at Copenhagen Business School. She served as the Dean of the Business School at Bifrost University. She has over 20 years of management experience in companies and institutions in different fiels These include non-governmental, academic and commercial organisations. Dr. Óladóttir has served as a board member and chairman of the board of several companies and institutions in Iceland and abroad, including banks, insurance companies, investment funds, retail companies and The Icelandic Competition Authority. Dr. Óladóttir has been appointed by the Supreme Court in Iceland and the Minister of Industry and Innovation to Arbitration, has served as a member of Audit committees and as the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee of insurance companies, was appointed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to a negotiating committee on monetary union and appointed by the Minister of Finance and Economic affairs to a committee charged with monitoring implementation of the granting of supplemental loans with Treasury guarantees by credit institutions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Óladóttir serves as an associate professor and chair of undergraduate study at the faculty of business administration. She supervises and lectures the masters level course in fishing industry operations as well as other international business courses at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Iceland.
