Zhaoji LiuZhaoji Liu (1913-2001) was a famous psychologist and a professor at Southwest University in China. He was admitted to the Department of Philosophy Education at Nankai University in 1935. After the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1937, Zhaji entered the National Changsha Provisional University and moved southward to Kunming with the university as a member of the "Hunan-Guizhou-Yunnan Marching Brigade". He collected over 2,000 folk songs during the 68-day trek, and selected more than 700 folk songs in this book, introducing the culture of China's ethnic minorities to the world. Due to the predicament of the war, the publications from the investigations conducted by others during the trek were very limited. This book is one of the very few publications. Read More Read Less
