Zelda FreedmanZelda Freedman was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. When she learned of her mother Rosie's experiences as a very young girl in a sweatshop in Toronto, she promised to tell her story. Rosie's Dream Cape is Freedman's first children's book, althoughshe has been a professional writer in the medical field for the past several years. She is the mother of four and the grandmother of one. She is a painter, potter, weaver and accomplished seamstress.
