Zak FosteZak Foste is an Assistant Professor of Higher Education Administration at theUniversity of Kansas. His researchcritically explores whiteness in American higher education. This work examinesboth how whiteness functions to underwrite racially hostile ad unwelcomingcampus climates for Students of Color and the ways in which white collegestudents understand their relationship to race and whiteness. His most recentwork has examined how whiteness structures students' experiences in campusresidence halls and community service-learning programs.
