Zach was raised in the woods of Rhode Island, in the days when kids were still told to go off and play outside by themselves. Zach and his neighborhod friends learned to make the natural world their home for adventure from an early age. His early years fostered a deep love for nature. In his later years Zach spent countless hours studying about native plants, and learning primitive wilder- ness skills. Being outside and among nature is still what Zach loves doing best.Now the father of three spirited children who share the same love for all things wild, Zach wrote The Hidden Magic Of Plants to help teach kids and their families about the edible and medicinal plants surrounding them every day.
