Yvonne EnglishYvonne English was born in Atlanta Georgia, and received her BA from Georgia State University in English education. She earned her Masters of Divinity from Atlanta University's Interdenominational Theological Seminary. Yvonne has worked in various pulic schools while raising her children and working on her MA. She served as a hospice chaplain until retiring in 2018. In 1994 she wrote a calligraphy workbook and did a sixteen-part television series teaching calligraphy on Channel 8 (WABE) for the Atlanta Board of Education. She is a community advocate in several organizations. Yvonne serves on the Newton County Georgia Library Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee for the District Two Commissioner. She is an ardent gardener and Beekeeper and an active member of the Metro Atlanta Beekeepers Association. Yvonne's passion for handwriting literacy is the motivation for this beautiful handwriting book of calligraphy. "Fighting for handwriting" has become Yvonne's goal because technology appears to be diminishing the need for the skill of handwriting.
