Yasufumi FujiiYasufumi Fujii was born in Yamaguchi, Japan in 1949. In both 1972 and 1973, his work was chosen as a Nika Exhibition Commercial Section Winner, and in 1977, he won the Heibon Punch Award at the Fashion Illustration Exhibition. In 1983, his work was slected for the International SF Art Exhibition. Since the late 1980s, he began drawing illustrations of dinosaurs for illustrated books and scientific journals. In 2007, he started his seven-year career as the illustrator of paleontology illustrations for the scientific journal Newton, which brought both national and international fame.
