Yanira MarimonYanira Marimón was born in Matanzas, Cuba in 1971. She comes from a family of writers. Marimón has published widely in Cuba and abroad, earning the Somos Foundation's First International Poetry Contest in Miami in 2016 and achieving the statu of finalist in the Fernando Rielo World Poetry Contest of Spain in 2015, as well as in contests in Cuba. Among the latter, was the prestigious National Literary Critic's prize in 2009. She lives in Matanzas and is a member of Cuba's Union of Writers and Artists (UNEAC). Read More Read Less
