Xicai YueDr Yue received BEng in 1985, MEng and Ph D in 1995 and 1999. From 1999 to 2016, he was a full-time researcher in Tsinghua University, China, Imperial College London, and Sharp Laboratories of Europe. Currently he is the Head of Instrumentation, Insttute of Biosensing Technology, University of the West of England. Dr Yue is a senior member of IEEE and an active reviewer for over 10 IEEE journals. He is also an associate editor of Measurement Journal (Elsevier). He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal papers, a patent and a book chapter. His areas of expertise include speaker identification using neural networks; IC design for implantable neural recordings; powering indoor IoT sensor nodes using energy harvesting; zero-power passive sensing, and contactless electrodes for long-term physiological measurements in digital health.
