Willis Samuel Cole

Willis Samuel ColeThe author is a four year Air Force and a three year Army Cold War Veteran. He was a Radar Operator in the Air Force and a Nike Missile Fire Control Maintenance Man. He had read over three thousand books by the time he entered the Air Force, upon grauation from High School. One of his earliest memories is watching a man saying goodbye to his aunt, as the man was in the Army Air Force, a B-17 pilot. He knew the man had never returned and in 1994, he found the history of the execution of that man by the Germans after being caught twice and escaping once. The woman he was talking to, was the Librarian who allowed the author from a very early age to read any book in the library, except for a few rows on the very top shelves. Always interest in military history, on a visit to France, in December, 1991, to visit the First World War areas during all seasons, on Christmas Eve, 1991, he was introduced to the isolated grave of an isolated Unknown American Aviator, where he knew no such grave should exist. The author has been active for the truth to be known of that grave and even as this book is completed, additional questions remain to be answered. Read More Read Less
