William H Garzke JrWilliam H. Garzke Jr. is a 1960 graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in naval architecture and marine engineering and earned his master's degree in applied mathematics from Adelphi University. In 1993 by the Society of Naval Architect and Marine Engineers cited him as one of 100 notable naval architects of the twentieth century. In 2007 the University of Michigan, the College of Engineering, awarded him the Michigan-Rosenblatt Award for his research and work in the development of the art and science of forensic naval architecture.
