He is remembered, and will be remembered for many years to come as a priest of the Oratory of the Good Shepherd at Cambidge, whose wit, humility, and personal devotion exercised a decisive influence upon many generations of undergraduates; and as a theologian, whose wide and tireless reading, sound sense of history, and lively insight, placed his Cambridge University colleagues in a continual debt to him.
