Vladimir HachinskiVladimir Hachinski is the Distinguished University Professor at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He trained in neurology and research in Montreal, Toronto, London, UK and Copenhagen. Professor Hachinski introduced the concepts brain at risk multi-infarct dementia, leukoaraiosis, vascular cognitive impairment and his eponymic ischemic scale. Professor Hachinski has co-authored 17 books and over 800 publications, was the Editor of Stroke and President of the World Federation of Neurology.
