He is noted for his role in several key developments in theoretical physics, including the Belinski-KhalatnikovLifshitz conjecture on the behavior of generic solutions of Einstein equations near a cosmological singularity, the Belinski-Zakharov transform, and the 'Inflationary Attractor'.
