The author of "Southern Dishes Flavored the Season," published in Reminisce Magazine, December 2005, she enjoyed a successful career in real estate beforefinding her true passion of teaching third-graders in public school. Vicky earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Now a retired elementary school teacher, she's currently developing and finishing projects, like an invention business and other writing and creative endeavors. The mother of two grown boys, Timothy and Jacob, Vicky lives in Valencia, California. She loves ballroom, swing, and Latin dance, gardening, cooking, hiking, traveling, watercolor painting, writing stories about growing up in her beloved hometown of Hopewell, Virginia, and of course, spoiling her precious Kirby-Boy.
