Her first book, A Crack in the Sky and the soon to be published sequel, Goodnight Stars are both childrens' books. For her, writing seems to come naturally. Hr only formal training was learning to write childrens' short stories for magazines. She gets her motivation from Stephen King who once said to "take an idea and see what kind of fossil you can dig up".
