Victor J LovesonVictor J Loveson, is a Marine Geologist working as Chief Scientist in CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa India. Over 30 years of research experience, he specialized in coastal geosciences especially in Quaternary sea levels, placers, coasta zone management, geomatics, paleo-extreme events, and marine archaeology. Conferred with the ISCA-Young Scientist Award and CSIR-Golden Jubilee-Whittaker Young Scientist Award. On the INSA-The Royal Society (UK) Exchange Fellowship, he worked at Kingston University, London, UK on paleo-climate during Holocene. Coordinated many multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional geo-science projects and involved in IGCP projects (274, 264, 256 and 514). He has 52 research papers, 17 book chapters, 4 software and 3 edited books on coastal placer research. Guided many Doctoral and Masters Theses. He was the Secretary, Indian Ocean Sub-Commission, INQUA during 1999-2003 and associating with many National and International Scientific Societies.
