Victor GambhirProf. Victor Gambhir has been President and Vice- Chancellor of JECRC University in Jaipur since January 2021. He has worked as Vice-Chancellor in various universities in India since 2014. Prior to that he worked as Joint Director of the Technical Edcation Department, for the Govt. of Haryana from April 1998 to May 2005 and as Deputy Director, from April 1991 to June 1994. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala (Punjabi University Patiala) in 1982 and his master's degree with specialization in Rotodynamic Machines from Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh (Punjab University Chandigarh) in 1998. He obtained his (Ph.D.) on Quality in Engineering Education from Manav Rachna International University (Now Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, deemed to be University) in Faridabad. He has published five textbooks in the fields of applied mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics and hydraulic machines and engineering graphics. He is a member of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers, and a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education and a fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India).
