Vaughn DevaughnI, Vaughn Emmons DeVaughn Sr., was born September 28, 1954, in Passaic, New Jersey, the second oldest out of my father's seven children. After living in various locations at the age of fifteen, my father moved us (his seven children) to Baltimore, Mayland, after a final separation from my mother. (She was a good mother; marriage just did not hold out). Here in Baltimore, I finished high school in 1972 at Frederick Douglas Senior High School, and then after graduation, I entered into the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1974. I started my collegian studies at Morgan State University from 1975 - 1977. At this time, the search for God and his truth became more interesting to me more than my studies, my social life, my family, and my friend. After going to one church denominations to another (Baptist, Methodist, Charismatic, not giving discrimination), God kept the promise of his Word, he said, Seek and you shall find. After hearing the you must be born-again message, my search was over. I first married my teenage companion Jeanette Jackson in February 1979 and then was born of the water and of the spirit (baptized in Jesus's name and filled with the Holy Ghost) May 1, 1979, at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church. In our marriage, we had fourteen children. In 1995, my wife (Jeanette) died from cancer, and prior to her death, I also lost my oldest son, Corte to sickness in 1992. I was blessed to remarry to my present wife, Yvonne, in 1996 in which three more step-children were added. In 1984, I was called to the ministry, and in 1999, the Lord called me to start and to pastor the Holy Ground Apostolic Faith Church here in Baltimore, Maryland. Resuming my studies, I received my bachelor's and master's degree in theology in 2009 from the International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth. Read More Read Less
